    I don't think anyone has forgotten about that, but what about it? The people have the voting power to alter our Government, in contrast to the colonists' power when that document was written. We're so proud of the strength of our military, but that, along with greatly expanded surveillance and police powers, would be used to defend the Government against anyone attempting to abolish it. Good luck with that...

    Truth be told, a President would still be elected even if no-one voted but, that right to vote is our right to change the government.

    Of course, term limits are also a way to ensure that the government changes and avoid the tyrany that the colonists were trying to escape from by coming to America!

    Or just a way to ensure that someday shows like American Idol would exist [img]eek.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

    Abolish and start over would be a good idea...though I don't know that I would want to live through a revolutionary war...b/c I think that is what it would take to abolish the current system.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Throwing them all out and starting over is about the only thing that is going to save this country. Both parties are corrupt as hell, they both have their special interests they serve and no politician looks out for the middle class. The middle class is what made this country great.
